Frequently Asked Questions

Who created this wonderful event?

Thank you for asking. It was developed by Michel Neray who continues to host momondays in Toronto. Special thanks go to Jo-Anna Downey for hosting the longest running open mic in North America and showing everyone ‘how it’s done’; Kate Davis for wondering aloud, ‘I wonder if we can do a kind of an open mic but for speakers?’; and Judy Croon for her unfailing encouragement at the start. Google any of these names to learn more about them, or better yet, come to an event and say hello! Since the beginning, a huge number of speakers, coaches, trainers, event planners and people with great personal stories have contributed in a thousand different ways to build the ‘momentum’ we have now…

How often are these events held?

Currently, momondays are held once a month in each location. Check the Events for the exact date and place in the city nearest you.

Is there a cost to attend?

There is a nominal cover charge, dependent on location. Dinner and drinks are extra; socializing with great people is always free. momondays events really do fill up fast, so buy your tickets early!

Is there networking?

People have said that they've done the best networking at momondays, but this is not a business networking event. Leave your business cards at the office and just make friends with people! You meet the nicest people at momondays, so come early... either on your own or with friends.
